In October 2016, the city of Khabarovsk, the capital of the Far-Eastern Federal District of Russia, hosted the second Demographic Development of the Far East country-wide conferenceThe key organizers of Conferencewas Ministry of the Russian Federation for the development of the Far East, a.k.a. Minvostokrazvitiya. The leading experts in the field and representatives of the Federal and Regional Authorities, Public Chambers, the largest Russian companies and socially-oriented non-profit organizations discussed the demographic situation in the Far East, which is one of the priority development directions of the Russian domestic policy in the 21st century. The Conference adopted The Concept of Demographic Policies of the Far East untill 2030, the implementation of which is to be carried out by Russia’s Minvostokrazvitiya.

The developing family policy strategies in the Far East could not leave the field of urologyunnoticed:  highly skilled Russian health professionalof the fieldsuggested - in the framework of the general concept- the implementationofThe Road Map for the Development of Urology in the Far East of Russia, aimed at improving urological care for the local population, which is expected to enhance male reproductive health and quality of life, as well as to help  reduce mortality rates in Russia’s Far Eastern Region.

The open meeting of chief urological experts in the Far EasternFederal District and representatives of the Far Eastern UrologistSociety, during the 13th International Conference of Urologists of the Far East in Khabarovsk, in September 2016, decided to hold theannual 14th International Research and Practical UrologyConference of the Far East, entitled Russia - the Far East: Urology, Oncourology, Reproductive and Sexual Medicine in Vladivostok, 28 September 2017 – 30 September 2017.

The event agenda will include, among others, making adjustments and additions to the adopted The Road Map for the Development of Urology in the Far East of Russia.

Taking into consideration the importance and significance of the event for the development of urology in the Far East,as well as for the international, i.e. Asian-Pacific, and Russian domestic health care cooperation, we have the honor to invite you to take part in the conference personally, as a practicing urologist, and become participant of the Conference or officially represent a delegation of a non-profit urological organization, research institute, department or course of urology at a medical school of the Russian Federation at this event.
